When we reached a stalemate at the mediation, the hospital Risk Manager asked me if she could have a copy of the Settlement Documentary to show to the Chief Executive Officer of the hospital. There s no doubt in my mind that the video made this individual realize that he and his Board had undervalued this case.

In addition to settling the case, the hospital requested that it be allowed to keep the settlement documentary so it could be used for training purposes in an effort to avoid this tragedy from happening again.
